Disney Parks Little Golden Books
As I filled my registry with books from my childhood like The Poky Little Puppy and noticed my favorite Disney movies were also Little Golden Books. I added as many as possible without hesitation. Of all the Little Golden Books I discovered, there’s a small section of them that I can tell will be favorites in the Killebrew household for years to come — The Disney Parks Little Golden Books!
It’s no secret I’m a Disney fan, but I’m an even bigger Disney Parks fan. Seeing that some of my favorite classic attractions have been put in book form was just a dream come true! These are going to be so fun to read with my daughter as she starts remembering Disney trips and the attractions at the parks. I shared these books on TikTok, and people were obsessed! I figured it wouldn’t hurt to share every single Disney Parks Little Golden Book here, too.
Figment
We all know I have a special place in my heart for this iconic purple dragon, so a Figment Disney Parks Little Golden Book was a must for me. The story inside is as vibrant as the cover! As a Disney History fan, I loved that the story included Figment’s friend the Dreamfinder. He has since been removed from Figment’s attraction at EPCOT, so it was nice to see him return for this timeless story. There are nods to defunct Disney attractions like Magic Kingdom’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and even an old food-inspired show at EPCOT.
Whether you’re a Figment fan yourself or you’re planning to grow your Disney Parks book collection, this one is a must. Buy it here while it’s in stock! I think it’s a great way to introduce kids to EPCOT’s mascot, Figment, before they head to Walt Disney World, too. Want to learn more about Figment’s history? Check out 5 Facts About Figment here!
Pro Tip: If you like Figment, you may want to check out these necklaces from Spinning Carousel Company. You can even use code “KAIT10” to save 10% at checkout!
The Haunted Mansion
Beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts! The Haunted Mansion Disney Parks Little Golden Book was a must for me, so I was so excited when someone purchased it for me off of my baby registry. This book takes place in the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, but if you’ve visited both Disneyland and Walt Disney World you know there are a lot of similarities between both attractions. While I haven’t thoroughly read this one, I love the details of the attraction worked into each page. From the stretching room and the Hatbox Ghost to the ballroom scene and picking up your own Hitchhiking Ghost, this book has so many visuals that can help a first-timer get familiarized with the attraction!
As someone who grew up riding the Haunted Mansion on every Disney trip, this book made me smile. I’m excited to read it in the future with my daughter as she gets older! Grab The Haunted Mansion Disney Parks Little Golden Book here. My company Spinning Carousel Company also has a pendant necklace inspired by this attraction’s stretching room, so if you’re into subtle magically inspired pieces you can snag that on our site!
It’s A Small World
From a young age, It’s A Small World was always one of my favorite attractions at Walt Disney World. When I finally got to experience the original version in Disneyland, it only deepened my love for this important part of Disney Parks History! So of course the It’s A Small World Disney Parks Little Golden Book stood out to me immediately. Like some of the other stories mentioned in this list, this book takes place on the Disneyland version of It’s A Small World. I like this, and I’ll explain why! On Disneyland’s version of the attraction, Disney characters are sprinkled into the attraction in their respective parts of the world. For example, you can find Miguel from Coco and the Three Caballeros in Mexico or Lilo and Stitch in Hawaii! This special detail was included in the book as well and I think it adds to the fun for kids to hunt for Disney characters on each page.
This Little Golden Book also features a greeting from their area of the globe represented on the page, along with how to pronounce it! We see this concept in the exit area of the attraction, so I loved seeing this simple learning detail added to the book as well. If you know you need this It’s A Small World Disney Parks Little Golden Book on your shelf, you can find it here!
Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise was one of Walt Disney’s biggest attraction dreams brought to life, so it only seems fair that there’s a Jungle Cruise Disney Parks Little Golden Book in this collection! Since the Jungle Cruise is fairly similar at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, this is a book that easily works for guests of both coasts. Skipper Albert takes guests through the attraction and we readers are along for the ride! There are vivid illustrations of the scenes we know and love, complete with those world-famous skipper jokes. Don’t worry, we even get to see the eighth wonder of the world — the Backside of Water!
Before grabbing this book, I was curious if it would follow the storyline of the recent Jungle Cruise film or the beloved park attraction. I was happy to find out it was true to the version we know in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Time to add this book to your shelf? Grab your copy of the Jungle Cruise here!
The Orange Bird
While most of these books can cater to both coasts, The Orange Bird Disney Parks Little Golden Book is all Walt Disney World! The Orange Bird played a big part in the Vacation Kingdom’s early history, so I was excited to see that the collection decided to give this little guy his own book.
Most only recognize this cute Florida-inspired mascot from EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival merchandise, but did you know The Orange Bird is older than Magic Kingdom park? That’s right, this little guy was created in 1970 so the Florida Citrus Commission had their own mascot when sponsoring an attraction for Magic Kingdom. Today, you’ll find the Orange Bird at the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom or on EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival merchandise!
Curious to learn even more about Orange Bird? I covered the history in this Disneybound post and on my Disney History Podcast, The Carousel Project. Grab your copy of The Orange Bird Disney Parks Little Golden Book here!
Pirates of the Caribbean
Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate’s life for me! There’s truly no Disney Parks Little Golden Book collection without Pirates of the Caribbean, right? Similar to many of the others, this book follows the attraction format of the Disneyland version of Pirates of the Caribbean. Having experienced both, I think there are enough similarities for this to be relevant for Walt Disney World’s version as well! I love all of the Point of View shots in the illustrations as if we’re riding in a boat right along with the guests in the story.
Whether you’re a Walt Disney World or Disneyland goer, this Disney Parks Little Golden Book is a must-have for your Disney book collection! Since Pirates of the Caribbean is a ride with no height requirement, I recommend getting this book for first-timers of any age to help them get excited to experience this Disney Parks classic.
Space Mountain
The story in this Space Mountain Disney Parks Little Golden Book surprised me because although this attraction is in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, it takes place in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Space Mountain is an attraction that Walt Disney dreamed up about a decade before it was possible. It was also the first roller coaster in the world to be controlled by a computer!
In the story, Dad skips the ride because he’s not into heights, but he does take a trip on the PeopleMover! It’s fun to see Mom and the kids experience this must-do thrill ride. Did you know Magic Kingdom’s version of Space Mountain opened first in 1975? That’s right — this year it’s celebrating FIFTY YEARS. Can you think of a better reason to buy this cute little book? I sure can’t. Grab your copy of the Space Mountain Disney Parks Little Golden Book here!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Last but not least, Disney Parks’ newest attraction at Walt Disney World and Disneyland has its very own Little Golden Book! When I learned that a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Disney Parks Little Golden Book was releasing, I was ecstatic! If Disney put out a book for their most recent attraction, it gives me hope that this collection will only continue to grow as time goes on.
Since this attraction is so new, I think this book is a must-have for anyone planning a trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World in the future! It helps to familiarize us with the story, characters, and attraction scenes and can build excitement for the vacation ahead. I loved the animation style of the book and since I haven’t experienced Tiana’s Bayou Adventure yet, it’s getting me pumped for my first time riding it hopefully later this year! Disney Parks Little Golden Books
I am so excited about this little book collection and I’m hoping it won’t be long until I’m adding other Disney Parks Little Golden Books to this post in the future. I made a list of all eight books here if you want to grab them all in one place! My list also includes a few other Little Golden Books that feature Disney Parks. There are three Disneyland Little Golden Books: Santa Stops at Disneyland, Little Man of Disneyland, and Little Man of Disneyland: A Change of Luck. Walt Disney Walt Disney World also released a special story for the 50th Anniversary, Mickey’s Walt Disney World Adventure. Last but not least, there are two Disney Parks Little Golden Book collections — one with five stories and one with four stories. Since I wanted all eight, I just purchased them individually!
