An Out of this World Anorak

2018 has been a pretty good year so far for me and my main mouse! I just got home from my first trip to Walt Disney World for the year and it was a great start to the next few trips I’ve got throughout the year. Anytime Mickey Mouse is involved there seems to be pure magic and that’s what I felt when I found out about this anorak pullover from Forever 21!
Do you ever find a piece that just speaks to you or takes you back to a memory? This red Mickey anorak was that piece for me. I got immediate retro vibes when I saw it and the Tomorrowland area loop was just playing in my head!
From the red pop of color to the cosmic cutie himself on the back, it was a need for me! It’s bright and light — just perfect for a Disney Park day or just a little day to day Disney magic. I can never have enough Disney pieces in my wardrobe and I have a feeling this jacket will become a big Disney staple for my collection.
Between the rainbow and the spacesuit, I can’t help but think back on these cute retro futuristic outfits that Mickey and the gang wore back in the day! Talk about a Flashback Friday. I’ve got pictures with some of the characters from my first trip to Walt Disney World back in 1996, so I think that’s another reason I fell in love with this anorak!
No Disney look is complete without a pair of ears, and my usual go to ears are these little beauties! They’re my original pair from 2014 and the start of my mouse ear obsession.
I think the silver metallic look of the ears coordinates perfectly with the Mickey’s Cosmic Adventure graphic on the back of the jacket. Keeping with the metallic and silver theme, I accessorized with my silver castle necklace and gray canvas sneakers. Comfort is key for me and I think this look embodies that idea in it’s own way.

If this is the start of Disney style pieces for the year 2018, I can’t wait to see what else I come across this year! For now, I’ll be rocking this anorak around town until I’m back on my way to Tomorrowland next month. Only 33 more days until Disney! (But who’s counting?)
