Disney Eats: Chef Mickey’s

Walt Disney World has its fair share of character buffets around the resort, but today I’m talking about one of my favorites! Growing up going to Disney, it was always a great time if we ended up with a reservation at Chef Mickey’s. There’s just something about rolling in on a monorail after a great park day and getting to explore the Contemporary Resort lobby on your way!

Chef Mickey’s is a full service buffet, complete with a dessert buffet and character meetings. Guests have the chance to meet the Fab Five — Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto! Every so often the characters lead a dance party where everyone waves their napkins around, it’s just a fun time.

I really enjoy this buffet because the menu offers a lot of options so there’s sure to be something for everyone in your party. Since it’s a buffet, it’s easier to get adventurous and try some new things you may not normally put on your plate! From Pot Roast and Smashed Potatoes to Prime Rib Carving Station, there are so many delicious choices to choose from. You can peep the full Dinner menu here!

Unlike most of my Disney Food reviews, Chef Mickey’s reservations are a bit more competitive to score. So if you’re planning to dine here on your next Disney vacation, don’t wait to long to try and book this restaurant! Although some last minute reservations tend to appear on the My Disney Experience app, they are usually for later, undesirable times.

If you’re participating in the Disney Dining Plan, Chef Mickey’s can be used as a Table Service credit! With this restaurant falling in the price range of $35-$59.99 per adult, Chef Mickey’s could be a great way to stretch your investment in a Disney meal plan! (And don’t forget to grab your alcoholic beverage if you’re 21 and older.)

So next time you’re looking for a fun reservation for the whole family, think Chef Mickey’s! Whether you’re having a park day or a park-free day, this meal is just a resort hop away.
