Mickey’s 90th Birthday Weekend

My main mouse turned the big 9-0 this weekend, so of course I had to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth to celebrate! I’ve never had the chance to experience a birthday or Disney park anniversary in the parks, so this was an exciting first for me. Curious to know how I spent my weekend? Here’s all the exciting things I got to experience during Mickey’s birthday weekend!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

This weekend was full of firsts for me and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was at the top of my list! I got a chance to experience Mickey’s Not So Scary Christmas Party in September, so I was excited to see Walt Disney World’s holiday party for myself as well.

From the shows to the treats to the tons of free cookies, I loved every moment! I even got a chance to meet all seven dwarfs! There were so many other meet and greets to experience so it was impossible to do them all, but it was fun seeing all of the offerings that this party had.

I think the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade was my favorite part!

Dapper Day

Paris as Dumbo and Kait as Vintage Minnie

Earlier this year I had the chance to attend my very first Dapper Day, so when I found out fall Dapper Day would be falling on such an iconic weekend I knew I couldn’t miss it! Since Mickey and Minnie were celebrating their 90th birthday, I found my outfit inspiration from the original Disney Style queen herself.

Dapper Day is always a great time to meet Disney friends from all over! I got to spend my day visiting with so many friends and I’m so thankful for this time.

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail

Disney Springs is home to 27 different themed Christmas trees during the Christmas season! Each tree is themed around a Disney movie, character, or attraction, and it was so fun looking into all of the little details on each tree.

My favorite tree had to the one inspired by The Princess and the Frog! It makes me so happy anytime I see my home state and Princess Tiana getting all the love they deserve.

Mickey’s Birthday Celebration

Birthday Bash Push Pop

The weekend came to a close with Mickey’s 90th birthday celebration! Guests were greeted with bright yellow birthday buttons as the entered the four theme parks of Walt Disney World on Sunday, November 18.

To add to the celebration, Disney offered weekend-exclusive treats around the parks and resorts! My favorite was the birthday bash push pop.

Festival of the Holidays

In addition to Mickey’s birthday, November 18 was also the start of Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays! I can’t have enough when it comes to Epcot festivals, so getting to experience the last festival of the year (even for one day) was an exciting perk of this weekend for me.

I had a blast tasting the holiday foods from around the world as well as admiring all of the festive decor from each pavilion! I finished out my final day at Walt Disney World by snagging my Annual Passholder magnet for the holiday season featuring Nick’s favorite character, Goofy. I can’t wait to add this new magnet for our fridge collection!

As you can see, I had a pretty exciting weekend in my happy place! I couldn’t be more thankful for how many experiences lined up during the same weekend, which made for such an iconic time. I hope to make it back for future Disney character/Disney park birthdays in the future because it was such fun!
