An Evening At The Edison
During our almost 7 years together, Nick and I had never been on a trip to Walt Disney World just the two of us until September of last year. We had gone quite a few times with family and friends, but there’s just something special about exploring my happy place alone for the first time! Since it was a special trip, I wish sure to save a few Disney firsts for this vacation. We stayed at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and had dinner at The Edison!
The Edison only opened a year ago, but since first hearing about it I knew I’d want to dine there as soon as I could. The restaurant gives off serious Great Gatsby vibes, which inspired by outfit for the evening! Since dining here was a first for both of us, Nick and I decided to dress up a bit and it was a fun change of pace from normal park wear.
After a full park day, it was fun to kick back and enjoy the beauty of this nearly new Disney Springs restaurant with my love. Once our meal was through, we changed into something more causal and checked out a few of my favorite spots around Disney’s shopping and dining district! We hit up the Coca Cola Rooftop Bar, listened to live concerts, and grabbed cupcakes at Sprinkles.
It’s been fun exploring the more adult side of Disney outside of the parks with Nick. As a total Disney kid who can’t get enough of the parks, it’s refreshing to know that Walt Disney World offers other unique experiences on property like this fun, themed restaurant! Since I never got to experience Pleasure Island for myself, it was still cool to dine on the island that once was in a reimagined location.
As Walt Disney World continues to grow and change on its journey to the 50th anniversary, I can’t help but get excited to see what new experiences are to come! For now, I’ll just be dreaming of my next night out at The Edison.
