Four Easter Egg Displays to Hunt Around Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is known for its larger-than-life displays, especially for the holidays! Around Christmas time, guests can expect to see large edible gingerbread displays in various Disney Resort lobbies. In the springtime, the larger-than-life displays consist of giant edible Easter eggs instead! For those visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth this month, here are four Easter Egg Displays to hunt around Walt Disney World resort.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is home to quite a collection of colorful, Disney-inspired eggs this Easter season! In fact, some eggs weigh up to 25 pounds and stand at around 20 inches tall. The bakery team at Disney’s Beach Club works for around two months to create the edible works of art that we get to enjoy all month long.

If you stop by Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can expect to find some pretty cool works of art including eggs inspired by Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion, Zootopia, the Beauty and the Beast ballroom scene, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and the Steamboat Willie Popcorn Bucket that popped up at Disneyland Resort a few months ago!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Located on the monorail route, this resort is an easy one to stop by and visit on a trip to or from the Magic Kingdom! Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s bakery team is led by Pastry Chef Jeff Barnes who worked hard for three weeks to create an array of delightful egg designs that weight between 2 and 40 pounds and stand at a height of between 3 and over 25 inches tall.

Some noteworthy eggs in the Contemporary Resort collection include a Disney snack-inspired one topped with Dole Whip, two Finding Nemo-inspired designs, an Easter Egg covered in popular Minnie Ears, an Aladdin-themed egg, and just for the Disney Junior fans — a Doc McStuffins egg!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Walt Disney World’s flagship resort is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, which means that this resort will always do holiday decorations big! With over 20 different decorated eggs, there is so much beauty to take in just inside of the resort lobby. The resort’s bakery team is lead by Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer, and they have been hand-decorating Easter eggs for over 24 years! These hollow chocolate egg creations weigh between 9 and 12 pounds and stand between 16 and 20 inches tall.

With so many Easter eggs to look upon it can seem overwhelming, but Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offers so many unique designs you’ll want to hunt for a peek of! Some of the most exciting offerings this year include two different Dumbo designs inspired by the recent Live-Action movie release, a Mary Poppins design taking aspects from both old and new, the Little Green Men inside the Claw Machine from Toy Story, the Evil Queen and her bubbling cauldron, a sweet scene from The Fox and the Hound, an elaborate Wizard of Oz scene that will remind you of The Great Movie Ride, BB-8 with a glowing light saber, and The Lion King.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Last but certainly not least is Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Thanks to the same talented bakery team as Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the resort’s lobby features an array of brilliantly designed eggs that each tell a story of their own. These Easter Eggs weigh around 25 pounds and stand at a height of about 20 inches tall.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Easter egg display features eggs both big and small in their collection! Some of the most exciting designs this year include a Disney Villain-inspired trio featuring Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, and Maleficent, a Tangled design featuring the sun of Corona and a sweet Pascal sitting on top, the Fab Five of classic Disney characters all lined up, a Louisiana swamp-inspired scene featuring Princess Tiana, and a Make it Pink, Make it Blue dress scene from Sleeping Beauty!

What makes each Easter Egg Display so exciting is that no two eggs are alike. Some eggs are extremely textured featuring lots of colors and patterns, while others are painted flat like the traditional egg decorating! If you’ll be around Walt Disney World resort between now and Sunday, April 28, 2019, try to visit all four resorts to check out these masterpieces for yourself. After Sunday, April 28, 2019 these beautiful Easter Eggs will be put away for the year, so don’t miss out!
