All About Major League Soccer All-Star Week at ESPN Wide World of Sports

The 2019 Major League Soccer All-Star Week is coming to Orlando and the Walt Disney World resortwill be part of the fun! The players are headed to ESPN Wide World of Sports for the All-Star Skills Challenge. Here’s a breakdown on everything happening at ESPN Wide World of Sports for this year’s event!

 

Homegrown Game

The first event will be the Homegrown Game starting Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 5 PM! The 2019 Major League Soccer Homegrown Game will pit 22 of the best from the United States and Canada against the Chivas de Guadalajara’s Under 20 roster. 2019 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge

Major League Soccer icons come together to test their athletic abilities during the 2019 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge. Watch Wayne Rooney, Jonathan dos Santos, and Carlos Vela show off their skills in a series of unique events. Competitions will test their accuracy, passing ability, and goal-scoring abilities! 

 

Special Olympics Unified Sports All-Star Soccer Match

The MLS excitement doesn’t end there! On Wednesday morning there will be the Special Olympics Unified Sports All-Star Showcase. This event is hosted by the Special Olympics and Major League Soccer as a part of MLS All-Star Week. The soccer match begins at 10 AM on July 31, 2019 on Field 15. It’s free and completely open to the public! Come cheer on partners and athletes representing MLS clubs from all across North America as they come together to compete in an 11 v. 11 match.

ESPN Wide World of Sports offers plenty of delicious grab-and-go style food and beverages through their food trucks. You’ll be able to find the perfect game time snack for every person in your party all in one place!

Bags must be smaller than 14” x 14” x 6” to come inside of the complex. Backpacks, luggage, laptop bags, coolers, larger purses/bags, camera bags, briefcases, and any bags larger than the permissible size are not allowed.

Security and bag checks will be present at the complex entrance.
