Every square inch of Walt Disney World theme parks is chock full of magic little details. From the colors and textures to the numbers and placement, there are no random details in a Disney park! Storybook Circus in Fantasyland is a great place to stop by and take in the details. Today we’re sharing four Easter Eggs to hunt for around Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom.

Notable Numbers

In the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station you’ll find numbered train cars for the circus. Each number represents an opening year for one of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks! Take a second to look around and you’ll notice 71, 82, 89, and 98. Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, Epcot opened in 1982, Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened in 1989, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened in 1998! This is a fun, subtle way for Disney to commemorate these parks and their history.

Look Down

As you walk around Storybook Circus, keep an eye on the ground! You’ll notice some very specific “litter” has been added to the pavement below. When Dumbo moved from his original spot near the front of Fantasyland to his new home in Storybook Circus, he was sure to get comfortable! You’ll see his peanut shells all over the ground while you’re walking through the land. Since peanuts are a popular circus snack, this extra touch of theming really adds to the overall details of the land.

Hidden Mickeys

Like most of Walt Disney World, Storybook Circus is home to quite a few Hidden Mickeys! If you’re looking to check these off of your list, you’re going to want to pay close attention to the posters throughout the land. From popcorn kernels to clouds and more, you’ll be surprised to see how many Hidden Mickeys you’ll find once you start searching! There’s even one on the ground made from a manhole cover, see keep your eyes peeled.

Mickey’s Toontown Fair

Before Storybook Circus, this area of Magic Kingdom was occupied by Mickey Mouse and his friends in a land known as Mickey’s Toontown Fair. The land closed on February 11, 2011 to make way for this re-imagined theme, but some elements from the past still remain. The tents that were previously used for character meet and greets and the souvenir shop remain which a re-imagined circus theme. Goofy’s Barnstormer was also originally from Mickey’s Toontown Fair but came back for Storybook Circus when the new land opened!

Storybook Circus is a quaint land near the back of Fantasyland. While most guests rush straight to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Peter Pan’s Flight, it’s worth your time to venture back to this circus-themed land! There’s a train station, a souvenir shop filled with special sweets, character meet and greets, and more.
