All-New Epcot Experience is Now Open

Since October 1, 1982, Epcot has been entertaining Walt Disney World resort guests with unique experiences of all sorts. From its many countries of World Showcase to its can’t-miss festivals, this theme park is truly one-of-a-kind! During the D23 Expo back in August, a lot of upcoming changes were announced for Walt Disney World’s second theme park. The renaming of Future World, a new Mary Poppins attraction, and an updated logo were all announced during the D23 Expo.

Just in time for the park’s 37th anniversary on October 1, 2019, the all-new Epcot Experience opened to the public! Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience opened in the Odyssey Events Pavilion. This new space located between Test Track and the Mexico pavilion gives guests the first in-depth look into the historic transformation coming to Epcot.

Inside you’ll find a 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling screen showing an all-new 12-minute film with vignettes about the new experiences coming to Epcot playing continuously. You’ll also find new dimensional photo locations, a three-dimensional model of the park, and historical artifacts on display! Whether it’s your first or your hundredth visit to Epcot, you’re going to want to check this out.

In addition to this new must-see experience, October 1, 2019 also marked the debut of Epcot Forever. This new limited-time nighttime spectacular replaced IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth! Epcot Forever celebrates the park’s past, present, and future with a new musical score, soaring fireworks, and colorful glowing kites. The all-new grand orchestral soundtrack includes an arrangement of classic Epcot tunes including guest favorites like “One Little Spark” and “Tapestry of Nations.” Epcot Forever will eventually be replaced with the park’s next nighttime spectacular, HarmonioUS!

So next time you visit Walt Disney World resort, don’t forget to swing by Epcot and check out the park’s exciting new offerings. From the new line of Epcot merchandise featuring the park’s new logo to the Epcot Forever show and the Epcot Experience, there’s a lot of greatness to be celebrated these days at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
