A Tangled Inspired Bridal Shower
There are so many wedding parties these days, but one that is most common is a bridal shower. The fun thing about bridal showers is that for the most part no two showers are alike! Some brides pick their theme, some brides have no idea and just know to show up! For my shower, I was the bride that had no idea and just showed up.
My maid of honor and bridesmaids kept everything a secret except for the date and time. Surprisingly the investigator in me never figured out what they had planned! On the day of my shower I was in for a special treat!
I can count on my hand the amount of times that I’ve been genuinely surprised in my life. This bridal shower was definitely one of those times! From the decorations to the theming to the music, everything was absolutely perfect! I had no idea what was planned for my shower, but I couldn’t have picked a better theme if I tried!
It’s no secret that I love Disney, but not everyone knows I have a favorite princess. Rapunzel is my favorite princess and Tangled has to be my favorite movie! I love the message, the songs, and of course Rapunzel and Flynn Rider! When it came to my flowers and other aspects of my wedding there was inspiration from Tangled. In fact, when I walked down the aisle to Nick I had “I See The Light” playing.
My bridesmaids did an amazing job of sticking to the Tangled theme. They all worked together to purchase and make decorations that reflected the movie! One of my bridesmaids created an awesome “Best Day Ever” sign for us that actually ended up making an appearance at our reception! This was just one of the many custom touches that my girls put together for me.
My bridal shower venue was a great asset to the Tangled theme. Between the exposed brick on the walls to fountains around the venue, it was absolutely perfect!
Looking back on my wedding experience, there were so many fun events. What makes my bridal shower something special to me is the fact that I had nothing to do with the planning at all. My bridesmaids took my interests and turned it into an amazing shower! You know you’ve got a great group of girls when they go above and beyond with such a special surprise!
