For me it’s hard to imagine a time before Disney. Growing up during the Disney Renaissance the parks, movies, and style was everywhere and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! The songs, stories, and experiences have molded me into who I am today and I think that’s pretty magical.

This weekend my mom, brother, and I will be making our yearly 10-hour adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Since age 7 (18 years, y’all) this has been our family Mardi Gras tradition and it has helped to make Walt Disney World more than just a vacation destination for us. It’s a home away from home!

Going to Walt Disney World at least once each year helped to create my passion for the parks, Disney history, and of course Walt. This company is so much more than just a few vacation destinations. It has been an innovator in the entertainment industry for decades! Creating the standard for film, theming, and eventually theme park experiences.

When I read up on Walt Disney and his big dreams that helped to create the experiences and entertainment luxuries we take for granted today, I’m humbled by how many things he made happen! His failures and attempts helped him to learn and grow to eventually reach heights no one ever imagined. If Walt could make the impossible happen, why can’t we?

We can’t be afraid to dream. We can’t be afraid to reach for the stars! Surround yourself with fellow dreamers who will help to motivate you to your full potential. As Walt said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

An idea for a mouse cartoon named Mortimer has transformed into 90 years of entertainment history! How cool is that? I love that companies like Cakeworthy continue to make Disney style pieces like this for kids of all ages. For me, Disney as always been in style!

Most people I know went through a “Disney isn’t cool” phase in life, but not me. That’s okay though — they all make their way back the magic in one way or another and that’s all that matters! I love getting to see others experience that spark of joy that can only be found in a Disney park.
