Adulting Can Be Fun
Adulting is an definite adjustment. Growing up can seem stressful. Going from your normal routine of living at home, going to school, and visiting friends or significant others, to living on your own, married, with a fur baby is quite a change! Whether you’re ready or not, it’s bound to happen eventually! For me, all of these changes happened at the same time.
2016 has been an eventful year. In the past year alone I’ve already had to grow up quite a bit. After graduating college, I immediately began my first job while planning my wedding. Five months later, I was buying a house and getting married all in the same week! Now that we have started to get our house unpacked, the dust is finally starting to settle and I’m beginning to start new routines.
One routine that has quickly become my favorite is Thursday get togethers after work with friends. Working in Downtown Hammond, it’s so convenient to just walk down the street to La Carreta and unwind. With queso on the table and delicious, hand-crafted margaritas in our hands, the hours just fly by. We enjoy people watching, talking about our personal lives, and, most recently, inspiring each other for future blog posts! Be sure to check out Because I Said So and Live Fabuliz for their thoughts on our Thursday night!
Added bonus: Since it’s football season and my husband Nick has two Fantasy Football teams going, girls night ritual gives him a chance to have our living room to himself on Thursday nights!
When you get a chance to forget about the bills, work, and all your responsibilities, adulting can be fun after all. So here’s to many more Thirsty Thursdays and making day to day routines more exciting!
What are some ways that you like to unwind?

November 6, 2016 at 12:55 pmI have just begun the ‘adulting’ stage of my life as well. We built and moved into our first home this year, very exciting but also a massive change. My favourite way to unwind is with a relaxing bath (normally with some Lush products)
