Avengers Campus Opening Date Announced
Things are about to get even more adventurous at Disney California Adventure park starting June 4, 2021! Disney Parks Blog announced that Avengers Campus will be opening at Disneyland Resort in just a few short months. This news arrives only a few days after Disneyland Resort unrolled its ticket and theme park reservation timeline, so it’s clear that The Happiest Place on Earth is in for an exciting next phase of 2021.
This new, fully immersive land is where Avengers fans can live out their Super Hero dreams! Avengers Campus is dedicated to recruiting, discovering, and training the next generation of Super Heroes — and that may include YOU. Disney Parks Blog released the very first look at this all-new Disney California Adventure land, and I’m breaking down everything you can look forward to here!
Avengers Campus Attractions

Worldwide Engineering Brigade (also known as WEB) is the first key area of the all-new Avengers Campus. This area bonds bright innovators like Peter Parker, who have been assembled by Tony Stark to create new technologies and allow everyday people to become like Super Heroes and Avengers themselves. WEB will house the land’s newest attraction, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. This attraction is the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature Spider-Man!
Guests of all ages will put their web-slinging skills to the test on this new family-friendly attraction. Thanks to innovative technology adapted just for this attraction, you’ll be able to experience what it’s like to have Spider-Man’s powers. Tom Holland will also reprise his role as Spider-Man for the new attraction, so get excited!
There’s still another iconic attraction to highlight at Avengers Campus, but this one is already a Disney California Adventure favorite. Since opening in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! has been taking Disneyland Resort guests on rockin’ adventures. If you’re new to this attraction, guests help Rocket bust his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy out of the Collector’s Fortress in one of six different storylines. Each features its own unique soundtrack of music inspired by the iconic films, thrilling free-fall drop sequences, and mayhem you’d only expect with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This new land will also offer several new dining spots for guests to enjoy. The first is Pym Test Kitchen, a food innovation science lab where what you eat tells the story. Similar to The Wasp and Ant-Man using “Pym Particles” to grow and shrink things, Pym Technologies uses this same science to create shareable bites, sweet treats, and inventive entrees. Some Pym Test Kitchen offerings include the “Pym-ini,” a panini served as a long, multi-portion sandwich or by the slice, and the Impossible™ plant-based large and micro meatballs with pasta. Next, you’ll find the Pym Tasting Lab adjacent to the Pym Test Kitchen. Here guests 21 and older can order craft beers like an amber lager or a blood orange hefeweizen, or try one of Pym Research Staff’s Pym Particle-infused cocktails if that’s more your style. Both Pym Test Kitchen and Pym Tasting Lab offer mobile ordering through the Disneyland App.
There will also be two food carts in Avengers Campus serving up Super Hero favorites! Shawarma Palace is a favorite of the Avengers and will be decked out in memorabilia according to the Disney Parks Blog. You’ll want to try the shawarma wrap when you stop by. Next, is the Terran Treats food cart near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! This cart features a menu of curated intergalactic eats from Taneleer Tivan.
Team Up at Avengers Campus

Only at Avengers Campus can you expect to have so many Super Hero encounters in one place. You’ll see Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Iron Man, the Dora Milaje, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, The Wasp, Black Widow, and even villains like Loki. Some of these characters are making their very first park appearances, too! Spider-Man will be swinging into action in gravity-defying acrobatic feats high above Avengers Campus too, so keep your eyes peeled while visiting. This type of action is another Disney theme park first!
At the ancient Sanctum, Doctor Strange will train guests in the mystic arts through powerful spells that will bring this ancient sanctum to life. This area glows even more vividly at night, so be sure to stick around until after dark to experience the majestic colors and lights!

Your trip to Avengers Campus wouldn’t be complete without some souvenirs and merchandise to remember the experience, right? June 4, 2021 will be here before you know it, so there’s never been a better time to start planning your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. It’s been an exciting week for Disneyland Resort. From their ticket and theme park reservation system updates to the opening date announcement for Avengers Campus, it’s a great time to be a Disney Parks fan! I personally can’t wait to experience Disney California Adventure’s newest immersive land when I make it back to Disneyland Resort as soon as I possibly can.
