New ‘Behind the Attraction’ Series Coming To Disney+ Next Month
Theme park fans, get excited! There’s a new series coming to Disney+ next month that’s just for the Disney Parks enthusiasts out there. We’ll get an exclusive peek ‘behind the curtain‘ of some of the most beloved and iconic Disney Parks attractions. Viewers can expect to get a closer look at classics like Jungle Cruise and “it’s a small world” while also learning more about other areas of the Disney Parks and Resorts around the world.
“Behind the Attraction” is a 10-part series and it’s narrated by Paget Brewster. This series takes a deep dive into Disney Parks’ rich, unique history with the help of archival photographs and never-before-seen footage. Throughout each episode, these tools will reveal how these attractions came to be and how their technology continues to evolve with each decade to continue creating magic for guests in parks around the globe!
Each Disney Parks Castle has a unique story behind it, and in this new series, you’ll get to hear every single one. Disney Imagineers will also share the intricacies of building and designing the transportation systems at each Disney Parks, and they’ll even share the story of how the Disneyland Hotel came to be!
“Behind the Attraction” will include rare interviews with Walt Disney, Disney Legends, and dozens of past and present Imagineers. Some of the iconic interviews you can expect to see include Joe Rohde, Tom Fitzgerald, Scot Drake, Jeanette Lomboy, Bob Weis, Carmen Smith, Kim Irvine, Scott Trowbridge, and more! They are sharing their insider secrets of the Disney Parks and how some of your favorite Disney attractions were brought to life.
Today on Disney Parks Blog, we got a special look at the new poster art for the “Behind the Attraction” series. From the attractions displayed on this artwork, we can expect to learn more about Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, the Disney Parks Railroads, Jungle Cruise, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and more! I can’t wait to see which story we’re diving into first.
“Behind the Attraction” will be available to stream on Disney+ starting Friday, July 16, 2021. All ten episodes will be available, which means I’ll be binging them all as a late birthday present to myself!
