How To Know Your Bridesmaids Are #SquadGoals
Since I recently tied the knot, my wedding is still often on my mind. My wedding day was the best day of my life so far, and there was definitely a group of ladies I have to thank for that! Picking your wedding party can be a crucial part of your wedding experience, so here’s some ways that I realized my group was #SquadGoals.
They All Got Along
When picking your wedding party, you’re selecting important people in your life from all aspects. My bridal party included family members, sorority sisters, high school best friends, and even my best friend since age three!
Although these women didn’t all know each other initially, they made a point to not only get along but bond during my wedding time. This was a huge relief for me to have all of my favorite people getting to know each other, which allowed us to all have such a great time!
They Put Me First
I’m someone who struggles with trying to please everyone, but my bridal party pushed me to put myself first. Whether it was my bridal shower, my bachelorette trip, or even my wedding day, their main concern was my happiness which means to world to me.
Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event, so if you’ve got a squad who appreciates that then you’re in a good place!
They Committed 100%
Being a part of a bridal party is an investment. It’s an investment of time, money, and emotions. My bridesmaids made a point to attend as many wedding events as they could leading up to my wedding. They also threw my bridal shower for me, which is a huge task!
In addition to these things, they were completely supportive of all the variables of their wedding day attire, such as their bridesmaid dresses and shoes. It’s very important to make sure that your ladies are willing to take on these burdens with a happy heart.
Whether you’re newly engaged or just planning your wedding Pinterest board for your future fairytale, the best advice I can give you is to take your time when selecting your bridal party. Surround yourself with positivity and those who truly care for you. By looking for these qualities in your bridal party, you’re guarenteed to have #SquadGoals!

I had many problems with mine and asked a couple of my bridesmaids to not be in the wedding afterward because they were being difficult. Our friendship of 30 yrs ended but I knew that would be the consequence. You girls look great and supportive of each other!

November 18, 2016 at 8:05 amThis is so true! I had to kick a bridesmaid out of my wedding party because she turned into a self absorbed monster. She wanted to dictate everything from meetings into my dress, she forgot that it was supposed to be my day and unless everyone caved to her demands she wasn’t interested and was not going to participate. I haven’t spoken to her ever since and to be honest, I don’t even care. Who needs friends like that?
