Curiouser and Curiouser…

Alice in Wonderland, like most Disney movies, made up most of my childhood entertainment! (Anyone else remember those Disney VHS days?!) Although this movie isn’t one of my favorites, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Alice. (Maybe it’s a blonde thing?) Her curiosity and colorful adventures stood out on the screen. Some of my favorite parts were the Baby Oysters and the Mad Tea Party! 

Growing up going to Walt Disney World at least once a year, my family and I used to spend quite a bit of time riding the teacups or meeting Alice and the Mad Hatter. Some of my most cherished childhood photos at Disney were at character meals with Alice or spinning in a teacup with my sister!

When I knew Spring Dapper Day was approaching, I started to search for Disney-inspired ideas. My first Dapper Day was one year ago and I went with an Adventureland theme! Next, for Fall 2018 Dapper Day I drew inspiration from Vintage Minnie in honor of a very iconic Disney double birthday falling on the same weekend. As I scoured the internet looking through colorful swing dresses of all sorts, this powder blue immediately reminded me of a curious girl who made a trip to Wonderland!

Once I’d found the initial dress, putting together the rest of the accessories was pretty easy thanks to Amazon! From a Bread-And-Butterfly crossbody to a Doorknob pouch and necklace (thanks for letting me borrow it, bestie!) I felt like I was truly ready to follow the White Rabbit into Wonderland.

What’s so cool about Dapper Day is seeing everyone’s take on different Disney characters! From different eras of fashion to highlight different costume traits, it’s so much fun to walk around the park and see everyone’s creativity shine through. I ran into a few Alices around Magic Kingdom and we just had to grab a photo together! 

Dapper Day only happens twice a year at Walt Disney World, but these weekends are starting to become some of my favorites! So many Disney fans come together to step out in style, many of which I don’t get to see very often so it’s always fun to catch up. I can’t wait to see what fun there is to be had at Fall Dapper Day 2019! Hope to see you there.
