One of my favorite things about growing up during this time period is that I get to meet so many people who share my interests around the country or even around the world! Our parents always warned us not to talk to strangers on the internet, but thanks to apps like Instagram and Twitter I’ve found strangers who get this crazy little Disney obsession of mine and I think that’s pretty cool. Social media can bring people together through a common interest (like Disney) and there’s just something exciting about that!

Recently I was contacted by Brendan of Detour to Neverland Podcast to be interviewed for their show and I was thrilled! As a new podcast wifey (shoutout to the Ready Set Kill Show) I have a newfound appreciation for the concept and platform. Since learning about podcasts, it had become a personal goal of mine to appear on one someday, so when the opportunity presented itself I was ecstatic!

Detour to Neverland

Brendan Wright’s show is a Disney podcast that interviews Disney fanatics of all sorts. From photographers to travel agents to bloggers to Cast Members, Brendan has got a podcast guest for every Disney fan! He asks each Disney fanatic a series of questions to spark the conversation — usually about how their love of Disney was started or what made the guest decide to start their Disney project. After the initial conversation, Brendan finishes the podcast with a “lightning round” asking the guest a series of Disney questions to help the listeners get to know them better!

After having the chance to appear on a podcast, I have to say that it’s a blast! I really enjoyed getting to speak my Disney truth with someone who also has such a passion for this magical company, and potentially reach other new listeners/readers at the same time.

It’s amazing the voids that can be filled thanks to creative platforms such as blogs, vlogs, and podcasts! While I blog about Disney Tips, Throwbacks, and some Lifestyle, there are other creators specializing in Style, Food, and News — all about Disney. Even Walt himself couldn’t have dreamed so much content would’ve stemmed from his original ideas for next-level film and amusement!

It’s so humbling if you really think about it…
