New Menu Items, Restaurant Reopenings, and More At Walt Disney World & Disneyland This Month

Happy Tuesday! Disney Parks Blog just dropped some exciting restaurant reopenings and foodie news for the month of June. Whether you call Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World your home park, you’ll be stoked to know that there is foodie news for both coasts today.

Walt Disney World

Three restaurants at the Most Magical Place on Earth will be reopening over the next few weeks and here’s the scoop on what to expect for each.

Tusker House

Last week Disney announced Tusker House will be reopening on the First Day of Summer this year! The character interactions have been modified for guests’ safety and the buffet-style restaurant will now serve family-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I gave a more in-depth look into their new menu, hours, pricing, and more last Thursday — you can read that post here!

For other Disney’s Animal Kingdom offerings, four quick-service locations across the parks are now open as well. Stop by Terra Treats, Isle of Java, Trilo-Bites, and Drinkwallah Snacks & Frozen Beverages for bites and sips that will help keep you energized for your Disney day.

Sebastian’s Bistro

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is home to Sebastian’s Bistro, a restaurant that will be reopening on June 24, 2021. Guests dining at Sebastian’s Bistro from June 24, 2021, until July 4, 2021, will have nightly walk-in availability. Starting July 5, guests can make reservations for Sebastian’s Bistro. July 5th and beyond reservations can be made starting on June 10, 2021.

Sebastian’s Bistro is known for its signature house-baked pull-apart rolls and its menu that will provide guests with the Taste of the Caribbean. Menu items include oven-roasted citrus chicken, grilled flank steak with mojito relish, slow-cooked mojo pork with mango sambal, and more. Coconut shrimp can be ordered as an add-on and for dessert? Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding!

Sebastian’s Bistro is located at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort which is conveniently located on the Disney Skyliner route. If you’re finishing up your day at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, this may be a perfect idea for a unique dinner experience. Check out Sebastian’s Bistro’s menu here!

‘Ohana

I saved the best Walt Disney World restaurant reopening for last because this spot is a guest favorite! ‘Ohana will officially reopen on July 9, 2021. Ready to claim your place at the table, cousin? Guests can start booking reservations this Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Although a similar spread for breakfast at ‘Ohana will be returning, character interactions with Mickey, Stitch, and Lilo will not for now. Breakfast at ‘Ohana includes a skillet of breakfast potatoes, ham, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, Mickey and Stitch waffles, fresh fruit, and no breakfast at ‘Ohana is possible without pineapple-coconut breakfast bread!

‘Ohana dinner is an all-you-care-to-enjoy platter of roasted chicken, sausage, grilled beef steak, and shrimp casserole served with roasted broccolini and the famous ‘Ohana noodles! (The menu temporarily featured fried rice, but the Disney people have spoken — ‘Ohana noodles are BACK.) The star of dinner at ‘Ohana is their legendary bread pudding that’s served with vanilla ice cream and warm caramel sauce.

If you want to read about my ‘Ohana breakfast experience, you can read that post here!

BoardWalk Ice Cream Shop

Ample Hills Creamery closed almost a year ago on the boardwalk at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, but its replacement is finally open! BoardWalk Ice Cream is located on your way to EPCOT from the EPCOT area resorts, so it’s a great place to grab a bite on your way to the International Gateway.

This new ice cream shop features sundaes, scoops, and other sweets so you’re sure to find something for everyone to enjoy in your party. You can check out BoardWalk Ice Cream Shop’s menu here!

Oga’s Cantina

One of the most sought-after dining spots in Pixar Pier is Lamplight Lounge. Wine Country Trattoria

If you’re in the mood for fettuccine, steak, or something else Italian and delicious, you’ll want to stop by Wine Country Trattoria. It’s reopening on June 17, 2021, but guests can begin making reservations on June 14, 2021.

Downtown Disney District

Two new treats are now available for the summer at Downtown Disney District! The first is a Beignet-Flavored Cocktail at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. This cocktail is made with wedding cake-flavored vodka, butterscotch schnapps, vanilla syrup, and half and half, topped with a mini glazed beignet.

The other new offering in the Downtown Disney District is the French Toast Churro at California Churro. Dive into a delicious churro dusted in powdered sugar and served with a side of maple syrup!

As you can see, there’s a lot of food to be dreaming about at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort starting next week. It’s been a long road to reopening, but each new addition is more exciting than the last. I can only imagine what new details from the Disney Parks may emerge next week!

Which newly reopened location will you be visiting first?
