How To Battle Disney Withdrawals

Well, it’s about that time. With less than 30 days until I’m back in Walt Disney World, the Disney withdrawals are here and they are real! Whether you are just getting back for Disney or have an upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disney withdrawals are bound to happen. Looking to battle this problem? I’ve got some sure-fire tips to get through your Disney withdrawals and back to reality!

Read Disney Blogs

One way that I like to battle my Disney withdrawals is by catching up on my favorite Disney blogs! Disney blogs are perfect for getting the latest park news, reading in-depth articles on your favorite attractions, and finding park and dining tips. I already have a few favorite Disney blogs that I follow, but I’m always looking for suggestions of new blogs to follow!

Try Out Disney Recipes

Dying for some Dole Whip? Need a churro in your life? I don’t know about y’all, but Disney food is a major factor for me when I visit the parks! When I’m missing Disney, I like to get creative in the kitchen and make my own Disney creations. Pinterest is full of copycat Disney recipes for you to try! One of my favorite meals in Walt Disney World is Liberty Tree Tavern’s Pot Roast and I tried out a recipe for it last week.

Listen to Disney Music

Am I the only one who has made their own Disney playlist for their day to day life? I doubt it! Disney music is uplifting in general, but when you’re missing the Disney parks it can seem like magic. Most people stop at Disney soundtracks, but I am a unique level of Disney obsessed. When I need a pick me up, I love to listen to Disney park loops! I close my eyes and I can pretend that I’m back in my happy place. Some of my favorite loops are Tomorrowland, Soarin, and Epcot’s Entrance Music.

Plan a Disney Trip

When all else fails, plan a trip! If you’re Disney obsessed like me, you’re bound to have an trip coming up pretty regularly. If not, here’s your chance to plan and start saving! When I have a new trip coming up I’ve got to prepare for fast passes, look for new Disney outfits, and make dining reservations. Sometimes planning these trip details can be all you needed to get through missing Disney!

The power of Disney withdrawals can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to suffer! Like anything else, these withdrawals can get better with the help of music, food, or focusing on your interests. So get on Pinterest, turn on some Disney tunes, and start planning!

When you’re missing Disney, how do you cope?

I’ve definitely loved reading Disney park blogs when I’m a few months out from a trip–it helps gradually build excitement! I really like “Disney Tourist Blog”, particularly because they cover the Asian Disney parks which are a lot closer to where I live! 🙂

I can’t wait to start planning our trip to take my daughter. I have so many great memories from Disney when I was younger, and can’t wait to create new ones with her!

Haven’t been to Disney since last summer and I am definitely having withdrawals! I feel like I do similar things with the music playing to lift my mood but I never thought about playing the loops! I also plan fantasy disney trips because I don’t have the money right now lol. Have fun on your upcoming trip!

Oh my gosh, I’ve been having MAJOR Disney withdrawals! Haven’t been to Disneyland in about 2 years, but I drive past it every time I go back home from San Diego to Ventura County! So close but so far. 😢 Disneyworld would be amazing to go to one day!

I’ve never been to Disney (or on a roller coaster, for that matter), so it’s a bit hard to relate. But I can definitely relate to the idea of planning a trip to ease vacation withdrawals!

I haven’t been to Disney since I was like….5 years old. I would love to visit as an adult, it sounds so fun, especially since I don’t really remember anything! Also, those gifs are so cute!

I haven’t been to Disney in years, but your love for Disney makes me so happy! I wish every corner of the internet was as positive as yours is! My diet ends Friday, so maybe I’ll give Dole Whip a try on Saturday 🙂

I love listening to my Disney playlist when I’m cleaning, and it makes me so happy! The thing that gets me through Disney withdraws is watching Disney vlogs on Youtube. Honestly though it just makes me want to go more!
