A Stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
There’s nothing quite like staying at a Disney Resort when you’re visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth. And checking out a resort for the first time? Even better! On my most recent trip to Walt Disney World I did a little resort hopping halfway through and had the chance to stay at Disney’s BoardWalk and it was everything I could’ve dreamed of and more.
Nestled right behind the France Pavilion in World Showcase, you’ll find a waterfront resort with turn-of-the-century charm! Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is one of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
Before a few weeks ago, I had only ever visited this resort once for the Bon Voyage Breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel, and Eric. Those few hours at this whimsical resort were all it took for Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to make it onto my Disney Resort Bucket List! From the colorful buildings and exciting boardwalk happenings to the convenient ferry service to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I knew this place was something special.
When planning our first Disney vacation just the two of us, Nick and I knew we would want to do a little resort hopping while we were there. We planned to stay at All Star Movies, a Value Resort, for our first half of the trip and then upgrade to a Moderate Resort for the second half. After crunching some numbers and dates, we found a three night stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn that was only dollars more expensive than some of the other Moderate Resort pricing! We took this as a sign and treated ourselves to a room at Disney’s BoardWalk.
Our room was very spacious, with enough bedding options to sleep 4-6 people! We only needed the one bed, but it was nice having all of the extra space to really enjoy our vacation. The best part of our room though was our balcony view! Fitting in with the BoardWalk theme, each room has a balcony and our room just happened to have a great view of the courtyard with the BoardWalk in the distance. We were in love!
We witnessed movie nights, wedding carriages, and boardwalk shenanigans all from the comfort of our balcony! People watching quickly became our favorite Disney trip pastime.
Although we found ourselves enjoying our resort and the others nearby during this part of our trip, this resort is perfect for parkhopping to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Looking for a place to stay for the various festival seasons? This is the place to be! With direct access to the International Gateway via boat ride or short walk away, it’s so easy to enjoy all that the festivals have to offer in a fun and casual way.
In addition to the great location, Disney’s BoardWalk also has an amazing pool and great dining options right at your resort! Their pool area truly fits the boardwalk theme, complete with a wooden rollercoaster-themed waterslide and a carousel-themed bar area. (Although I could totally do without the clown on the slide to be honest!)
It was truly a dream to stay at this lovely resort for the first time, and I know it won’t be my last visit! If staying at Disney’s BoardWalk has inspired me to do anything, it’s to make the goal to stay at every resort on property. Each Walt Disney World resort is themed so uniquely and I think it would be a fun adventure to see them all!
As I’ve said before, splurging for only 1-3 nights on your trip could be a great way to experience some of Disney’s more expensive resorts without breaking the bank! So if you find yourself searching for a Disney Resort for your next vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth, I could not recommend this dreamy resort enough!
