Everywhere You Can Find Mickey Mouse Around Walt Disney World
When you’re visiting Walt Disney World, it’s hard not to think of the famous mouse that started it all! Mickey Mouse is the true original, and this iconic character is turning 90 in just a few days. To celebrate his upcoming milestone, here’s a list of everywhere you can find the Big Cheese around the Walt Disney World Resort.
Magic Kingdom:
Festival of Fantasy Parade
Each day at 2:00 p.m., guests gather in Magic Kingdom to experience the colorful and musical Festival of Fantasy Parade. Featuring detailed floats with an array of popular Disney characters, this event has become a must-do for Walt Disney World guests! For the big finale, Mickey and Minnie end the parade in their own float waving to the people of the Magic Kingdom.
Mickey’s PhilarMagic
Mickey’s concert orchestra ends up out of control when Donald stumbles upon conductor’s baton and decides to try on Mickey’s sorcerer hat. Donald and the audience are taken on a musical 3D adventure through some of Disney’s most classic movie scenes and songs, all while searching for the missing sorcerer hat along the way. Mickey saves the day once the hat is retrieved by calming the orchestra, ending the show with a bang!
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
This live stage show happens daily in front of Cinderella Castle. Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire stars Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy along with a few other special Disney pals, all singing and dancing in celebration! If you’re a fan of Tangled, The Princess and the Frog or Frozen, you won’t want to miss this fun and lively show.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
Mickey’s appearance on this classic Tomorrowland attraction is so quick, you just might miss it! After traveling past the model of Walt Disney’s original Epcot idea (the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow), the narrator mentions Mickey’s Star Traders as you peep down into the store from above. Mickey pipes in at the last minute claiming the store is “out of this world!”
Town Square Theater
As you walk right into the Magic Kingdom on to Main Street U.S.A., directly to your right you’ll see the Town Square Theater. This is where you can meet the mouse himself! Go backstage into Mickey’s rehearsal room and spend some time with the Big Cheese.
Epcot:
Epcot Character Spot
This is the place to meet Mickey, Minnie and Goofy in their classic outfits! Epcot Character Spot allows you to meet all three characters in one, so strike a pose and enjoy all of the fun candid moments.
Garden Grill
Inside the Land Pavilion, this family-style character meal is the perfect place to meet some of your favorite Disney characters. Dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner at this restaurant with a view! You’ll have a chance to meet Chip, Dale, Pluto and Mickey, of course.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
Walt Disney Presents
This attraction is dedicated to Walt Disney and decades of rich Disney history. On this self-guided tour, you can marvel in the presence of over 100 years of Disney artifacts! At the end there’s a 15-minute film, Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream that covers Walt’s life and how the Disney company we know today came to be.
Fantasmic
Experience this nighttime musical spectacular featuring your favorite heroes, villains and princesses all within Mickey’s imagination. This nighttime spectacular is only available on select nights, so be sure to check the calendar before you trip to make sure you don’t miss it!
Red Carpet Dreams
The Big Cheese and his leading lady are ready for their big Tinseltown debut! Here’s your chance to meet Mickey as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Minnie styling some red carpet couture. The main mice meet daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Muppet*Vision 3D
You’ll have to stay until the end of this show to catch Mickey Mouse’s appearance! As Waldo C. Graphic is trying to escape the show, he disguises himself and the true original and disappears unnoticed.
Hollywood and Vine
A lunch and dinner buffet featuring some of your favorite Disney characters? Yes, please! Join Minnie, Mickey, and their pals in a fun and interactive meal experience. These characters and menus also change with the seasons, so for Summer, Fall, and Winter you’ll notice different outfits and offerings!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
Adventurer’s Outpost
Meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their safari best at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! These Disney pals are excited to meet you and hear all about your wild adventures around the park. Stop by Discovery Island to meet this iconic duo!
Fichwa Fellow
This Mickey sighting is one of the most clever of them all! Within the Harambe market area, you’ll notice a Mickey Mouse waving painted on the wall along with the words “Fichwa! Fellow.” The word “Fichwa” means “hidden” in Swahili, making this sighting the ultimate Hidden Mickey!
Tusker House
During a busy day of exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a delicious meal with your Disney pals can sure hit the spot! Guests can meet safari Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy at this daily character buffet.
Resorts:
Planning on trying some Disney resort dining experiences that feature your pal Mickey? Look no further! Disney’s Contemporary Resort is home to Chef Mickey’s, a breakfast and dinner character buffet featuring Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Minnie. At Disney’s Fort Wilderness guests can participate in Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, a hootin’ tootin’ hoedown with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale! Lastly, Disney’s Polynesian Resort offers Ohana, a unique breakfast experiences with Polynesian Mickey, Lilo and Stitch.
Hidden Mickeys
The ultimate way to find Mickey Mouse around the theme parks is through Hidden Mickeys! There are over 1,200 hidden within Walt Disney World, so chances are if something resembles Mickey, it’s probably on purpose. It’s fun to keep an eye out for the famous mouse throughout the parks!
Mickey Mouse is the one that started it all, so it only makes sense that he can be found in so many places around the Most Magical Place on Earth. 2019 will bring even more Mickey experiences to the parks, including the all-new Mickey’s Runaway Railway attraction opening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
