I’ve Got A Dream
“I’ve Got A Dream, I’ve Got A Dream.
I’ve Just Want To See The Floating Lanterns Gleam.”
Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess, hands down! From the amazing performances by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi to Rapunzel’s cute sidekick Pascal, I fell in love the the movie the very first time I saw it. Since it’s #TangledTuesday and the movie’s 9th anniversary is this weekend, I thought this would be the perfect time to share my Flapper-inspired Rapunzel look for Dapper Day last weekend!
What is Dapper Day?
When people hear I’m heading back to Walt Disney World for Dapper Day, I’m often asked what Dapper Day is. Dapper Day is an event where Disney fanatics can “step out in style” feeling their best in the Disney parks! Most who participate choose to base their outfit around a Disney character, movie, or attraction along with a time period. For example, this year I channeled style from the 1920’s dressed in Rapunzel’s colors! For a better explanation on the history of Dapper Day, you can check out my very first Dapper Day blog post from 2018.
This Dapper Day was my fourth and probably my favorite to date! For Spring 2018 I went with an Adventureland-inspired look, Fall 2018 I channeled Vintage Minnie in honor of her 90th birthday weekend, Spring 2019 I went down the rabbit hole with an Alice in Wonderland-inspired look, and finally for Fall 2019 I stepped out in style as the Lost Princess. I can’t wait to come up with my next two looks for Dapper Days in 2020!
This whole idea for Flapper Disney Princesses started on Dapper Day Spring 2019 when my friends and I walked into the Magic Kingdom. We all agreed that it would be fun to channel 1920’s style as our favorite Disney princesses, and I love that we made it happen so soon for Dapper Day Fall 2019! I went as Rapunzel, Zeinab went as Ariel, Daniela went as Moana, and Adriana went as Pocahontas.
Dapper Day is usually held at the Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Epcot on Sundays, but the script was flipped for Fall 2019! With the recent opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Dapper Day Fall 2019 was held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday instead. After establishing this new location update, we knew our flapper outfits would fit perfectly into the glitz and the glitter of the the Hollywood streets!
Before making our way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we stopped into the Magic Kingdom to grab photos in our princesses’ Fantasyland areas. Rapunzel’s bathroom area between ‘it’s a small world’ and the Haunted Mansion is easily the most beautiful bathroom area on property, so I couldn’t pass up the chance to snap a few photos in this Corona-inspired area! Zeinab also grabbed some photos near Prince Eric’s castle in New Fantasyland.
We even stopped into the Princess Fairytale Hall to meet the Lost Princess herself and she loved my look inspired by her style!
She told me she was going to tell Pascal all about my fun, flapper look! I also ran into MANDY MOORE on my flight home this weekend and had the chance to show her my Dapper Day look thanks to these pictures! You can read more about that in my tweet from Sunday.
It’s pretty easy to see why Dapper Day is one of my favorite Disney days of the year! I’m very fortunate to get to visit Walt Disney World so often, but it’s only on special event days like this that I get to see so many of my Disney friends from all over in one place.

Until next time, this Lost Princess is happy to have found so many friends through fun Disney-inspired days like this!
