Four Things You Must Do At Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival has been in full swing for almost a month! Time flies when you’re having fun, amiright? I had a chance to visit the festival this past week and indulge in some of the food, flowers, and experiences and it was a blast! Flower and Garden Festival is my favorite of the festivals at Epcot, so it’s no surprise I spent three days of my trip there.

For 25 years Flower and Garden Festival has become a spring tradition at Epcot that you don’t want to miss. With one month of the festival down and two months to go, I’m sharing my must do’s for this year’s Flower and Garden Festival!

Indulge in the Food and Culture

It wouldn’t be an Epcot festival without delicious tastes and sips, right? This year the Flower and Garden Festival is offering 15 outdoor kitchens to explore, including a new booth called The Honey Bee-stro! (Their cheesecake is delicious, so don’t miss out!) Each outdoor kitchen offers food and drink selections for those feeling adventurous while traveling around the World Showcase. Looking to conquer all fifteen? Find a friend! Sharing plates is a great way to save money and room in your stomach for more yums along the way. Can’t make it to the festival but still want to experience some of the tastes? You can find my recipe for Violet Lemonade here and the Watermelon Cucumber Slushy here!

Pick Up Your Passholder Magnet

Disney’s Annual Passholders have their perks and festival time is no exception to this rule! In the past AP’s have been given all kinds of exclusive gifts such as buttons, pins, and even souvenir glasses. This year Disney has created two magnet designs just for Annual Passholders! From February 28 to April 8, Annual Passholders who visit Epcot can pick up their own Spring Mickey Mouse themed magnet while supplies last! And from April 9 to May 28, Annual Passholders who visit the festival can pick up their Spring Minnie Mouse themed magnet while supplies last. I was able to snag mine this week and can’t wait to come back in April to add a Minnie magnet to my collection! Magnets can be picked up in the building near Club Cool, just look for the sign to show you the way.

Participate in Festival Activities

Much like Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts, Flower and Garden has a lot of fun things to do besides just eating and drinking around the World Showcase! Since Easter is right around the corner, Disney is currently offering an Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt. From March 16 until April 1, guests can purchase maps and stickers for $5.99 and hunt around the World Showcase for giant Disney character eggs! These eggs may be hidden outside or inside each pavilion, so you’ve got to keep your eyes peeled! In addition to this scavenger hunt, Disney is also offering Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration, Play Gardens, and a Garden Rocks Concert Series going on all festival long.

Tour the Topiaries

One thing that the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is known for is its beautiful gardens and topiaries! It always leaves me in amazement to see the magic that Disney can add to each one, bringing these topiaries to life with such perfect details. This year guests can tour 23 different topiaries around Epcot featuring favorite Disney characters of all ages! With unique colors, textures, and details, each topiary is truly a work of art!  In addition to these beautiful topiaries, Epcot features 18 Garden Destinations to explore around Future World and World Showcase as well. So when you’re visiting the park, don’t be afraid to take the time to enjoy these springtime beauties sprinkled around Epcot!

Twenty five years later and Epcot‘s Flower and Garden Festival is still a must do for springtime visits to Walt Disney World! If you’re looking for the perfect time to visit the parks, Spring just might be it. Between the festival, the blooms, and the bites you just can’t go wrong!
