Seven ‘Tangled’ Restroom Easter Eggs to Hunt at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World doesn’t skimp on details. From attractions to food to even restrooms, every part of each park is telling a story. But there’s one small but significant themed area at the Walt Disney World resort that stands out above the rest, and it’s located in Magic Kingdom. As you make your way from Fantasyland into Liberty Square, you’ll find the Tangled themed restrooms. This bathroom area is dressed to impress and even features a few hidden details worth hunting for.

Paint Supplies

There’s no question that Rapunzel has made her mark on this bathroom area. She’s put her painting skills to the test, leaving colorful murals on the walls on your way into the women’s room. Once inside, you’ll want to look up, where you’ll find even more colorful doodles. One extra detail that was included in the bathroom area near the sinks is shelving where she stores her paint supplies. This is just one of those details that proves that no square inch of Disney is without theming.

Frying Pan

Frying pans – who knew? The famous weapon from Tangled has made its way into this gorgeous restroom area as well. You’ll have to look up to find this clue. Near the entrance to the men’s room, you’ll find the frying pan hanging for all the world to see! Since this was a continuous gag throughout the film, it only makes sense that this detail would be integrated into an area featuring all things Tangled.

Hidden Pascals

In Tangled, Pascal the chameleon is known for changing colors to blend in with his surroundings. Much like the movie, Pascal’s camouflage allows him to be hidden throughout in the new Tangled restrooms area. Near the sitting area you’ll find a sign asking you to search for hidden Pascals nearby. This fun little scavenger hunt is perfect for kids, or the whole family. Don’t be afraid to look up high and down low – Pascal is an expert at blending in.

Flynn’s Satchel

Much like Rapunzel, Flynn has left his mark on this themed bathroom area as well. His satchel from the film is hidden in plain sight. The dark color of the bag against the matching wood architecture can make it hard to spot, but it’s there alright. When you’ve found the frying pan, look slightly to your right. Hanging from the small balcony you’ll find the satchel. (Now if only we could see if the crown is still inside!)

Restroom Signs

Disney details are big and small when it comes to creating the parks. Something as simple as restroom indicators take on special theming to blend into their setting. The women’s restroom sign, for example, is a lilac, much the movie’s signature flower, and the woman icon has long blonde hair. The companion restroom sign is decorated with a golden horseshoe, which we can assume belongs to Maximus! Even a backstage access door features a stern shot of Maximus with the phrase “Kingdom Staff Only.”

Wanted Posters

One major part of Tangled was the scene at the Snuggly Duckling where Rapunzel and Flynn meet some ruffians who share their dreams. Even these loveable tough guys made their way into this themed restroom area. “Wanted” posters can be found throughout the sitting areas, but the posters continue once you enter the men’s room as well. Some posters are even stamped with phrases like “Pardoned,” “Captured” and “At Large.”

Charging Stations

One of the most useful details about this area isn’t technically Tangled themed, but it does give you a great excuse to spend a little more time exploring. Close to the Liberty Square side of these restrooms, you’ll find a nice sitting area complete with stumps and barrels to create tables and chairs. Some of these stumps are not like the rest: A few include charging stations that can help you keep your devices on for the entire park day. So while you take a few minutes to sit and rest near the Tangled tower, don’t forget to grab a stump and charge up.

Tangled is one Disney film that doesn’t yet have a dedicated attraction at Walt Disney World, but by creating this detailed restroom area, Disney was able to infuse some aspects of this popular film into Magic Kingdom. Although we would all love to see a Tangled-inspired attraction someday, for now we can take in the beauty of these fun details.
