Top Summer Treats To Stay Cool at Walt Disney World

Summertime is here and so is the Florida heat! In the Sunshine State the summer weather can be some serious business, especially when it comes to staying cool on your Walt Disney World vacation. To help you beat the heat in the parks, where sharing the top treats around the Most Magical Place on Earth!

 

Magic Kingdom

On a hot, Orlando day a sweet treat from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is never a bad idea! From ice cream cones specialty sundaes, they’ve got something for everyone. Two of their summer features are their It’s a Party! Sundae and their Sugar Cookie Sandwich which are both available until July 31, 2019. 

If soft-serve is more your style, Magic Kingdom offers plenty of cones and floats featuring your favorite flavors! Aloha Isle in Adventureland is serving up the classic Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float, both made with pineapple Dole Whip. Not far away at the Sunshine Tree Terrace guests can enjoy an Orange Citrus Swirl or the all-new Redd’s Revenge Float made with strawberry soft-serve and Fanta Strawberry. Storybook Treats in Fantasyland offer cones and floats made with Lemon and Lime Dole Whip, including the refreshing Peter Pan Float! In Tomorrowland at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies there’s a new 2319 Cone made with a mango-vanilla soft-serve.

For those who enjoy a good slushie, there are a few options around Magic Kingdom for this frozen treat as well. The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland has a Space Ranger Slush and near Fantasyland at the Cheshire Cafe you can find the Wonderland Slush.

Epcot

This park is home to the Guardians of the Galaxy — Awesome Mix Live! show until August 18, 2019, and this stage show has inspired a few cool concoctions including the I Am Root root beer float, the Awesome Mix Slushy, and the Destroyer Punch. All these specialty beverages are available at Fife & Drum until August 18, 2019.

World Showcase features eleven different pavilions to allow guests to experience cultures from across the globe. Whether you choose a fresh Italian Gelato from Gelati in the Italy pavilion or a macaron ice cream sandwich from L’Artisan des Glaces in the France pavilion, you can’t go wrong searching the World Showcase for cool summer snack options. The Japan pavilion offers Japanese shaved ice available at Kabuki Cafe, and if you’re looking for a frozen adult beverage you’ll find Frozen Pimm’s Lemonade at the UK Beer Cart which is made with Gin, Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade, and Sprite.

To celebrate the release of the all-new Lion King film, the Refreshment Outpost is serving up a No Worries Panna Cotta. This dessert features papaya, mango, and raspberry panna cotta with cookie crumbles and white chocolate. 

 

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Neighborhood Bakery in Municiberg is the perfect place to find Frozen Coke-inspired creations this summer to keep cool. The Frozone Slush is made with frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry and whipped cream on top. The Secret Identity is Frozen Coca-Cola with whipped cream and cherry cotton candy on top. 

Stay hydrated in Andy’s Backyard with the Little Green Men’s favorite drink! The Mystic Portal Punch will have you feeling eternally grateful that you stopped by Woody’s Lunch Box to try this refreshing Green Alien-inspired drink.

For more classic ice cream options, you can grab a milkshake from Dockside Diner near Echo Lake or take a trip down Sunset Boulevard to visit Hollywood Scoops. This ice cream shop is home to hand-dipped ice cream cones, delicious sundaes, and ice cream sandwiches! It could be the perfect mid-day pickup to keep you ready for anything!

 

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom this summer is all about The Lion King. From the new film release to the 25th anniversary of the original, there’s a lot to celebrate! This summer the park is offering a full Lion King food menu, complete with frozen favorites like Simba’s Ice Cream Sandwich or the Bugs ‘n’ Grub Waffle Cone. 

Dinoland U.S.A. has a few cool snack offerings as well this season! Restaurantosaurus will be home to a build-your-own sundae experience with their new Burgers and Sundaes option starting on August 18, 2019. Disney Springs

Disney’s shopping and dining district has quite an array of restaurant options, so there’s something out there for everyone in your party. This summer YeSake is offering a refreshing Violet Sake Slushie, one of many specialty beverages offered in Disney Springs during the Disney Springs Flavors of Florida event! Don’t miss your chance to try it because on September 2, 2019 it’s gone. 

D-Luxe Burger is known for its juicy burgers and tasty milkshakes. They offer quite a few artisanal shake options like the S’mores Gelato Shake or the Salted Caramel Gelato Shake.
