Disney Eats: The Edison

Take a trip back in time with dinner at one of the hottest restaurants in Disney Springs! The Edison is a restaurant that has been on my bucket list since it first opened in 2017. It’s fun theming and the fact that it’s located right around where the Adventurer’s Club used to stand has always peaked my interest!

Located in an abandoned power plant, The Edison has been reimagined into a restaurant with views of Lake Buena Vista. While treating ourselves to on the Disney Dining Plan, Nick and I made a reservation to the Edison on our trip!

28 Day Dry-Aged Prime Rib

The Edison counts as one table service credit, which includes an alcoholic drink, one entree, and one dessert. Nick decided to go with the 28 Day Dry-Aged Prime Rib, a boneless 14 ounce rib served with Au Jus, Horseradish Cream Sauce, and your choice of potato. I chose the Old-Fashioned Meatloaf and Gravy!

This classic dish is topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, mashed potatoes, and a spicy ketchup glaze.

One of the fun things about dining at The Edison is all of the experiences taking place around you. From the live entertainment on stage to photographers coming to document your fun night, there are so many great moments to take in!

We ended up purchasing our photos from the photographer as a fun souvenir. So if you’re trying to decide if you should dress up or not — just go for it! Speaking of dressing up, you can check out my outfit from my Edison evening here!

When it came time for dessert is was pleasantly surprised! With the Disney Dining Plan, a dessert is included. The Edison’s menu includes single desserts and desserts for two.

Lollipop Tree

Since these “desserts for two” were so pricey, I assumed that would cover both of our dessert credits. This is not the case! So treat yourself to the fancy dessert for two. You deserve it!

I went with the Lollipop Tree, complete with cheesecake pops and bubblegum flavored whipped cream. Nick enjoyed the Casey’s Peach Cobbler which was served with vanilla gelato!

This was one new experience that I’m so glad I finally checked off my Disney Bucket List! Disney Springs has undergone so many changes and it’s been nice seeing this shopping and dining district finish its transformation.
