Four Tips to Take the Best Character Photos
When you visit a Disney Park, character photos are a must! Why not make the most of this unforgettable experience? Follow these tips to have the best character photos!
Creative Poses
There’s more to life than just a simple smiling pose. Get creative when you’re posing with characters! The best part is, the character will likely go along with it which will make for some pretty great shots.
Feeling stumped? Look to the character for some direction. They usually have a few tricks up their sleeve!
Get Interactive
Talk with the characters. Especially face characters, who love to answer questions and have conversations with you! For me, meeting Tiana is always a must because we are both from Louisiana. She and Naveen will go all out discussing Mardi Gras, beignets, and all things New Orleans!
I can’t help but appreciate the extra research that goes into being a face character and anticipating any and all questions from guests.
Autograph Something
I’m talking something other than a classic autograph book. Whether it’s a custom autograph book, some shoes, or a backpack, bring something to make your experience unique! I’ve had friends who brought shirts and even animation books for the characters to sign.
You’ll be surprised to see what characters will have to say about what you bring with you to them! They get very excited when they see something special or exciting to autograph.
Memory Maker
Don’t let quality of your photos be an issue! Get the perfect shot every time with Memory Maker. Disney’s Photopass photographers are great about capturing your entire character experience from the walk up to the walk away.
Enjoy all of your photos all in one place for one price! If you’re an Annual Passholder, this program comes free! If not, learn more about why you should make the investment here.
Pro Tip: Keep your eyes peeled for unique characters!
While most characters are listed for each park on the My Disney Experience app, Disney is known for having a few surprise visitors come out to play! While you can’t always plan for this, be sure to stop if you can because you may not see these characters again for awhile! On our last family trip, my husband spotted Max and it made his whole day!
Character photos can be some of your most memorable experiences on your Disney vacation. If you follow these tips, you’re sure to get the best picture every time!
