The Top Six Restrooms at Walt Disney World
When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go! Luckily, at Walt Disney World, restroom locations are available throughout the resort’s beautiful parks. Although there are lots of options, it’s important to know which restrooms are the best. Whether you’re planning ahead for a companion stall when you bring your whole crew, or just interested in which restrooms are the newest and most spacious, this restroom roundup is for you. Here are the top six restrooms around Walt Disney World resort.
Festival of the Lion King Area
Looking for a large and clean restroom in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Look no further than the Africa area of the park near the Festival of the Lion King. Nestled near the popular stage show, this location is far less obvious than others on the main walking paths of the park. Another great perk about this restroom is that it’s located near the path to Pandora. So whether you’re heading out of Pandora to explore Africa, or venturing from Harambe into the World of Avatar, this restroom is a great stopping point right in the middle!
Gaston’s Tavern
With the New Fantasyland expansion years ago came new, themed attractions, and some pretty amazing restroom locations. One of the best to check out if you’re in Fantasyland is the one located behind Gaston’s Tavern. This location is almost hidden from sight compared to other, more obvious restroom locations, which means guest traffic is at a minimum. The theming matches that of the new Beauty and the Beast-themed area, so making a trip to this restroom will seem as if you’ve stepped right into the movie! Since this restroom area is newly renovated in comparison to original park restroom locations, it also features a companion restroom for guests as well.
Gonzo’s Royal Flush
Muppet Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is full of fun theming, and their restroom area is no exception! This restroom area’s name and look is a clever nod to Gonzo’s business in the 2011 film The Muppets. The blue-and-charcoal theming continues into the recently updated restroom areas, making for a clean and spacious look. Located on the left at the front of Muppet Courtyard, this restroom has a pretty great location and is currently a low-traffic area of the park in comparison to areas like the all-new Toy Story Land! If you find yourself near Star Tours or Grand Avenue, this location is your best bet for a low-key and crowd-free restroom experience.
Norway Pavilion
Epcot’s World Showcase features eleven different countries that each offer their own cultural experiences, from food to attractions. Of all the featured countries, Norway is currently one of the most popular World Showcase pavilions. With its Frozen-themed attraction and interactive Elsa and Anna meet-and-greet, this is one exciting country to visit. With so much pavilion traffic, a restroom update and expansion was necessary. The final product was a stunning and spacious area, with plenty of stalls and themed touches that perfectly match the feel of the Norway pavilion. In addition to the extra space, this restroom also features a companion restroom option for guests.
Soarin’
The Land pavilion is one of the most popular buildings in Future World at Epcot. Featuring park favorites like Soarin’ and Living with the Land, this high-traffic building is equipped with a large and clean restroom for guests. Located on the first floor of the pavilion, directly to the left of the entrance to Soarin’, you’ll find the spacious and renovated restroom area, along with a separate companion restroom for those who would benefit from that option. Although this is a high-traffic location, things move rather quickly thanks to the recent expansion, which offers many additional stalls. If you’re still not a fan of crowds, the second floor restrooms in the Land pavilion are usually much less crowded.
Tangled
The Tangled-inspired restroom area is by far the most beautiful of them all. The outdoor theming resembles the kingdom of Corona from the film, and even features several hidden details to seek out. The theming doesn’t stop once you’re in the restrooms, though. For the women’s room, there are colorful murals created by the Lost Princess all over the walls. Above the sinks, you’ll find her shelf of art supplies in plain sight. In the men’s room, there are “Wanted” posters of characters from the film on the walls, as well as a collection of frying pans. This restroom area also features a separate companion restroom, which is a huge plus for families.
Much like the Disney parks themselves, Walt Disney World restrooms can get crowded. Sometimes stepping away from it all is the perfect way to get reenergized for your day. So, the next time you’ve got to go, keep these top-notch restroom locations in mind.
