Visiting Walt Disney World Six Times In One Year

My love for all things Disney is the real deal.  During this time of year especially I start to suffer from Disney-withdrawals!  To try and get through this current spurt, I’m thinking back on the time I was lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World SIX TIMES in one calendar year.

From February 2014 to March 2015, I visited Walt Disney World for 25 days out of that year.  This led to some magical experiences!  Here are a few things that happen when you visit WDW that often:

You Become An Annual Passholder

If you know you’ll be visiting a Disney park more than 10 days out of a calendar year, it’s always suggested to go ahead and spring for the Annual Pass!  Being an Annual Passholder comes with many perks of its own, but I’ll just cover the basics.  One perk is the discounts available around the park on Disney merchandise.  Every penny counts right?  Another perk is free parking at Disney Parks if you’re staying off-grounds.  This came in handy for my family, who usually goes the off-ground condo route!  But my favorite perk as an Annual Passholder was the built-in Parkhopper.  Having the ability to visit as many parks as you want in a day is so valuable! Which leads me to my next point…

The Pressure’s Off

When you visit Walt Disney World every two months, you have the option to be flexible.  Some families will only visit Disney once in their life and therefore feel they need to try and do everything.  This can add unneeded stress to what should be a fun and memorable vacation.  When you know you’re coming back, you have the chance to sit back and smell the churros!  If the line is too long for an attraction, you can catch it next trip!  Visiting with friends?  Give them a chance to pick a ride or show.  You’d be surprised to find how fun it is to shake things up!

You’ll Enjoy All Seasons

As you probably know, Disney makes special changes to its park based on the time of year.  If you’re lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World every two months, you’ll get to be a part of each of those seasons!  In the Spring, you’ll  experience the Garden Festival in Epcot.  For Summer, you can visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios and experience a Star Wars Weekend.  When it’s time for Fall, Magic Kingdom hosts the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for kids and Epcot hosts its Food & Wine Festival for adults!  Winter tends to be the most memorable season of all, when Walt Disney World transforms into full Christmas-mode along with all the trimmings.  The good news is, no matter which season you visit there’s bound to be an event going on!

A Different Experience Every Time

Any Disney Park regular knows that no two Disney trips will ever be the same.  With constant changes to the parks, there are always ways to spice it up!  During the year I visited WDW six times, I had the chance to try Memory Maker for the first time.  I also got to experience the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for a soft opening the day before its release!  It was also the year of the Frozen Summer Fun celebration.  In October of that year, I was able to be a part of the #SaveMaelstrom movement and ride the attraction one last time the day before its closure.  Surprisingly, this was also the year that I first tried Dole Whip!  Having been to Walt Disney World over thirty times so far, it didn’t surprise me that each of these six trips in one year were unique in their own right.

Walt Disney World is known as the Happiest Place on Earth.  I can truly say, that those two years that I had a chance to be a Disney Annual Passholder were two of the happiest years of my life!  It’s still a personal goal of mine to be able to pull this kind of Disney-filled year off again, despite my new adulting lifestyle. If you ever get the chance to visit a Disney Park for more than ten days out of the year, definitely try to make the most of that pass! You won’t regret all the fun you’ll have.

I’ve only been to Disney once, but after 21 years of marraige, I’ve finally talked my husband into a family trip next year. I’m so excited and can’t wait to go.

I wish I visited that often! I always wanted to go as a little girl but it was not possible. I visited for the first time 2 years ago and here I am wanting so bad to go back. Probably we’ll be going back early June. Fingers crossed. And this time I will need to try that Dole Whip.

Wow, I’ve never even been once πŸ˜‚ But I’m guessing that you feel about Disney World the way I do about Paris – I would literally never turn down a chance to return because there will always be new hidden surprises to discover (especially when you go in a new season)!

I never knew you could get an annual pass for Disney World! How wonderful! But yeah, you’re totally right, when you only visit once you want to cram in as much as you possibly can and that might actually not be a good thing.

Love this!! I think the best perk would be there is no pressure. When we visited I try to pack it all in. I would love to explore the parks at a slow pace and take everything in. Maybe one day!!

I don’t live close enough to a Disney park to go there once a year, haha, but it’s awesome you’re able to go someplace that you love so frequently. If I had it my way, I would go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter 25 days a year!

That sounds like a really fun year!! 2014 was a special Disney year for me, too–in January, I went to Walt Disney World for the very first time and visited all 4 parks with my family–later than year, my husband and I moved to South China to work, and in December, we went to Hong Kong Disneyland! That was pretty cool! This year, for my birthday we went to Japan and went to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea–obviously I love the parks enough to keep finding new ones close to where I live since the Magic Kingdom is too far away!

And I thought I was a Disney addict! We go to Disney World often, but just went to Disneyland Paris for the first time this year to run the Inaugural races. Will be going back again next year to run them too!

You went 6 times? that’s nuts haha. I don’t even remember my first and last time! True that you don’t rush to see everything, but not everyone has the luxury to live close enough to have passes πŸ™

I absolutely love Disney! I lived in Florida for a year back in high school and we went so many times that year. Disney at Christmastime was my favorite. So magical and it makes the experience even more fun!

Totally agree that a great part about frequent visits is the lack of pressure to see everything in one visit. It allows you to enjoy so much more!
