Watermelon Cucumber Slushy
Spring is finally here! I’m in the parks until Tuesday just taking in all that Disney has to offer this season. My Spring favorite would have to be the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot! I just love the themed topiaries, delicious bites, and fun activities around the park.
This year’s Flower and Garden Festival has 15 outdoor kitchens to enjoy, including one that is perfect for the Sunshine State — Florida Fresh! Florida Fresh offers sweet and tangy treats and is located between the France and Morocco Pavilions!
To get in the spirit of the season, I decided to try a little DIY recipe for one of my favorites from the Florida Fresh, the Watermelon Cucumber Slushy!
- 5-6 Cups of Fresh Watermelon, cut into chunks (the riper, the better!)
- 12 oz. Frozen Lemonade
- 2 Cups of Fresh Cucumber - peeled and pureed
- 3-4 Cups of Ice
- Put your watermelon, frozen lemonade and cucumber into your blender and mix until it's a puree consistency.
- Once your mixture is made, add your desired amount of ice to the blender.
- Mix the ice and puree together in the blender until it's a slushy consistency.
- Serve your Watermelon Cucumber Slushy immediately.
- For best results, serve your slushy right after making it!
