Four Wedding Day Essentials You Can’t Forget

Before your wedding day turns into happily ever after, there are hours of prep and planning involved!  This weekend I was a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding and it inspired me for my Wedding Wednesday post this week.  I’ve compiled a list of wedding day essentials to help keep your big day running as smoothly as possible!

Wedding Day Jams

wedding day

Whether your wedding ceremony takes place during the day or at night, there will be hours of time spent getting ready!  During this time period the day can seem to drag on.  Best way to prevent this is to create a wedding day playlist.  Put together your favorite feel good jams and throwback hits and enjoy a non-stop dance party all day!

Pro-Tip: Don’t forget a Bluetooth Speaker for maximum dance party action.

Bridal Survival Kit

When it comes to creating a Bridal Survival Kit, it is important to remember that you are planning for worst case scenarios.  Some key players in an expert Bridal Survival Kit would be Tide To Go, a needle and thread, scissors, band aids, baby wipes, and ibuprofen.  It can never hurt to be over-prepared with additional items such as gum, bobby pins, tweezers, and candy or granola bars.

Pro-Tip: Ask your Maid of Honor for help if you’re creating a DIY Bridal Survival Kit.  One less thing on your plate!

Mimosas & Munchies

Lets face it, your wedding day is a LONG day. No need to risk getting hangry! Make it a priority to arrange for food to be provided throughout the day.  Take advantage of generous family who will be willing to grab food for you and your wedding party!  If your girls will be there early, try to plan for donuts or another easy breakfast item.  For lunch, you can’t go wrong with finger sandwiches and fruit trays.  With all of the excitement and chaos, everyone will just be happy to be fed!  Mimosas are a great way to take the edge off and make the most of a very fast-paced day.

Pro-Tip: Water bottles are strongly suggested.  Stay hydrated, ladies!

Delegation Implementation

killebrew_gettingready-119

After months of planning, the last thing you want to do on your wedding day is contact vendors all morning.  Since my bridal party was literally #squadgoals I was able to assign each bridesmaid to a contact and it helped my wedding morning run seamlessly!  Where are the flowers? Delegate it!  Does the videographer know what room we’re in? Delegate it!  You’d be surprised how helpful this wedding essential can be.

Pro-Tip: Create an agenda for the day so everyone is on the same page!  The bride from this weekend had adorable, custom agendas and it was everything.

It’s impossible to plan for every scenario on your wedding day, but its always nice to have a game plan.  With these wedding day essentials you’re guaranteed to have your happily ever after off to a great start!

Fantastic tips that help anyone who never in this situation. How important to prepared everything properly before the wedding is starting. Because can any small thing happened to forget immediately, just remember in my own wedding day. That I forget even my own glove that should paired it with my bridesmaid wedding dress. πŸ™‚

I made a color-coded agenda for the weekend. Might have been a bit excessive, but everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing, at what time and where. Also, wedding day playlists are a must!

Yes delegate! It relieves so much stress. I would definitely do a once over (if you can) at the reception. My chair vendor dropped off the chairs for the ceremony….but then didn’t set them up (new person literally thought they just needed to deliver them). Luckily, we caught them in time to drive back and complete the job.

Ah, the wedding day can be so hectic and you’d be surprised how fast the time flies. We’re so happy we had a wedding planner who coordinated everything for us, or else it would have been too stressful for me. Great tips especially the food since who has the time to grab something to eat, right?

You were such an organized bride! I cannot even imagine how smoothly your day went because of these things! I haven’t been a bride, but I love that you included feeding everyone. I have been in a wedding with some hanger and tension because not everyone ate before the wedding.
