A Stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista in the Disney Springs Resort Area
When visiting Walt Disney World, staying as close to the magic as possible is always a top priority. Like most things, great location can come with a pretty hefty price tag! Between tickets, food, and transportation costs, getting a break in cost somewhere else can feel like a major win.
What if I told you there’s a great hotel option that’s walking distance from the magic, reasonably priced, with many of the same perks you get from staying on grounds at a Disney Resort? Welcome to the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels!
There are currently 7 hotels that are a part of the Disney Springs Resort Area — You can check out the full list here! At these resorts you get some of the best Disney Resort perks for so much less.
During a recent stay at Walt Disney World I had the chance to stay at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista in the Disney Springs Resort Area! Before then I had never heard of this option, but I found it to be a pretty great hotel hack for those trying to get the most for their money, so I’m here to share some of the biggest benefits of staying in the Disney Springs Resort Area.
Transportation to the Parks
We chose to stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista because we were looking to be as close to Disney Springs as possible. Paris and I flew to Disney on this trip, so without a car we knew we would be relying heavily on Disney Springs’ transportation! Boy were we wrong. Although our resort was only a short walk from Disney Springs, we were able to take advantage of complementary transportation that was provided by the hotel! A bus came right to the resort every half hour. It made stops at all four parks as well as both waterparks! How great is that?
Extra Magic Opportunities
One major benefit of staying in a Walt Disney World resort is the Extra Magic Hours. Staying nearby in a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel you would assume this perk isn’t included, but as of 2018 it is! Guests at the Disney Springs Resort Hotels get access to Disney’s Extra Magic Hours. This can be a huge benefit if you’re looking to do a lot in your Disney days! (You can learn all about Extra Magic Hours here!) Another fun benefit of staying at a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel is their exclusive Passport to Savings for Disney Springs. You’ll get exclusive coupons and the perfect excuse to go explore one of my favorite shopping spots at Disney!
Disney is Never Far Away
You can find Disney right in the resort! The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista has a Disney store right in the lobby. Tickets to the parks can also be purchased right at the resort! Another cool perk is Character Dining available for breakfast at the resort on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Just visit the Lakeview Restaurant from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for Sunshine Breakfasttime. And of course like all Disney resorts, you can always watch the Disney Must Do’s with Stacey on the Disney Information Channel!
When it comes to pricing, you’re looking at anywhere from $71 to $200 per night depending on the season! I made a point to price check online to find the best price — regardless of where you book from you can still reap the benefits of staying near the magic.
Pro Tip: Make sure to turn on Ebates to make money back on your reservation! (Don’t have Ebates yet? Click here to get started and make an extra $10 when you spend!)
The Disney Springs Resort Area is kind of the best of both worlds for Disney guests. You get the convenience of being on property without the extreme price tags that you’ll find at most of the Disney Resorts! With resorts in walking distance from Disney Springs, you’ve got food and fun right next door.
